Our Thematic Integration approach connects subjects like history, literature, and science, showing students the real-world relationships between ideas. Explicit Vocabulary:
We directly teach and systematically build academic vocabulary (words like analyze, synthesize, and compare). This deliberate focus is particularly powerful for all students, ensuring every child can access challenging concepts.
Root Word Mastery
Starting in 1st grade, students will learn Greek and Latin root words. This is a powerful tool that instantly unlocks the meaning of thousands of complex scientific and technical words they will encounter throughout their lives.
