It is classical-inspired: while not strictly classical in the traditional sense, we draw on classical education's focus on foundational knowledge, great stories and ideas, and good character.
We also bring in hands-on, project-based learning and modern best practices, so lessons stay fun, relevant, and responsive to each child. With individual attention in a small-class setting, students go beyond memorizing facts and understand why what they're learning matters.
Thematic Learning 101
Thematic learning connects different subjects through one shared topic, helping students see how their learning fits together. By carrying a theme throughout all subjects of instruction, students can deeply understand a topic and connect how courses work together for a holistic understanding.
For example, a teacher might use an ocean theme to explore marine life in science, read ocean stories in English, and study coastal communities in social studies. Instead of simply learning about various subjects, students gain an understanding of the interconnectedness of our world.
